Hi there, 👋
My name is Shin Young. I also go by Lucia.
I'm a designer specializing in making human-friendly technology. Ever since my first design project on augmented reality windshield to prevent distracted driving, I've gravitated toward applying HCI and design for social, economic, and environmental goods.
I currently build new global design system at GE Healthcare, centralizing UX and UI standards to create consistent, modern, and intuitive health software. My team received awards from Red Dot, Fast Company, and Design Management Institute (DMI). Previously, I've worked on a range of domains — including education, non-profit, transportation policy, and more.
In my free time, I enjoy learning about and experimenting on various concepts, dabbling in all things creative, curating music, and exploring places (mainly for food and outdoor activities) *while social distancing*. Though nowadays, I like to hang out with my cats Theo and Hershey. 😺😺
